Edvard Munch Pop-Up Poetry Workshop at the Clark Art Institute

AN EDVARD MUNCH POP-UP WORKSHOP ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 10:00 A.M.–12:00 P.M.

New and experienced poets are invited to write in response to Edvard Munch’s paintings and prints, at the Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, MA. Click here for info about this magnificent and memorable exhibition.

In this 2-hour workshop we will write together in the galleries using unique prompts to experience Munch’s artwork while opening our imaginations, memories, and emotions.

Where

We will meet at the Clark Art Institute, in the lobby next to the exhibit (beside the cafe), on the ground floor of the museum.

Cost

$60 per person, plus cost of admission to the museum.

What You’ll Need

Bring a notebook and sharpened pencils (no pens are permitted in the galleries). Wear comfortable shoes. Gallery stools are available next to the exhibition.

After the Workshop: Optional

Following the workshop, we can gather outside by the reflecting pool to talk about the artwork and our experience writing. Bring a sandwich or enjoy the delicious offerings at the cafe.
